Dale Jr Does It Right

Some are surprised, some not.  Dale Jr. and his new ride with Hendricks Motorsports did a great job at the Budweiser Shootout.  He lead much of the race and was always in the top 5.  At the end, he was just able to stave off Tony Stewart.  Hendricks Racing captured 3 of the top 5 places in the race.

Daytona is just around the corner

Wow, its been some months now since I last got my NASCAR ‘fix’.  I am anxious to get back into the groove.  With all of the changes in drivers (Dale Jr, Kyle, etc.) it will be very interesting to see how the teams shake out.  With the Daytona 500 just several days away, its time to party. 

I am having lots of friends over to the house to watch the Daytona festivities.  Our parties will be aided by the large number of party supplies offered on the RaceDayParties.com website.  With a housefull of guests, I think it should great fun and since all of my friends like Jimmie Johnson - I will have at least one of the RaceDayParties.com Jimmie Johnson Party Packs.  Each Jimmie Johnson Party Pack comes with NASCAR licensed items and team-colored paper plates, napkins, plastic cutlery and drink cups to serve 24.  I think I’ll start with two of those.

We like to carry the racing theme throughout our parties.  One great way to do this is to use a checker-flag table cover.  We purchased one last year through the RaceDayParties.com site and it lasted half of the year, till the cat decided to claw it apart.  I think we will go ahead and get a couple of these checkered table covers.  They are black checked on a clear or metallic backing.  I used the checkered on clear on top of a red or yellow paper table cover (which I also bought on the RaceDayParties.com site). 

Well, let’s hope that the Daytona 500 is a big success and only the first of many Race Day Parties.
